Humanity's Only Hope

Easter Sunday Message

“For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.  11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.  13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.  15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”

- Colossians 2:9-15

The Death of Christ, the Birth of Faith

Good Friday Message

“And they crucified him and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take.  25 And it was the third hour when they crucified him.  26And the inscription of the charge against him read, "The King of the Jews."  27 And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left. 28   29 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads and saying, "Aha! You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, 30 save yourself, and come down from the cross!"  31 So also the chief priests with the scribes mocked him to one another, saying, "He saved others; he cannot save himself.  32 Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross that we may see and believe." Those who were crucified with him also reviled him.  33 And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?" which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"  35 And some of the bystanders hearing it said, "Behold, he is calling Elijah."  36And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down."  37 And Jesus uttered a loud cry and breathed his last.  38 And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.  39 And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he1 breathed his last, he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"

Living in the Days of Noah

Spiritually Awake - Olivet Discourse Series - Part 11

“As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.  38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”

- Matthew 24:37-39

Knowing When the End is Near

Spiritually Awake - Olivet Discourse Series - Part 10

"From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.  33So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.  34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.  35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.  36 "But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”

- Matthew 24:32-36

The Rapture of the Church

Spiritually Awake - Olivet Discourse Series - Part 9

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

- Matthew 24:29-31

Spiritually Awake - Olivet Discourse Series - Part 8

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Coming of The Son of Man and The End of This Age - Part I

Spiritually Awake - Olivet Discourse Series - Part 7

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  32 "From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.  33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.  34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.  35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

Avoiding End-Time Deception

Spiritually Awake - Olivet Discourse Series - Part 6

“Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it.  24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.  25 See, I have told you beforehand.  26 So, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out. If they say, 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.  27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.  28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”

- Matthew 24:23-28
